RAILROAD DEPOT RESTORATION
The Remington Community Partnership has been given the old Southern Railway Depot, providing it will be removed from railroad property. The Norfolk Southern Railroad has given the depot in the interest of seeing it restored rather than be demolished on the railroad right-of-way.
J. Tucker has donated his services for the architectural documentation of the existing building, site design for the building's relocation, and the designs required to restore the depot as a local railroad museum.
Survey work has begun documenting the existing building, and site design work is underway for the new location in Remington, Fauquier County, VA.
