CLASSROOM ADDITION

Grace Episcopal Church in The Plains, Fauquier County held an informal general design concept competition for their planned expansion to its 100-year-old stone building.

JFT-AIA did not win the initial competition, David Rosenthal, AIA did win. David, a long time friend of J. Tucker came to JFT-AIA for assistance with the completion of the Design, and production of the necessary Construction and Permitting Documents. Together David and J. Tucker worked through the various Building Committee meetings and presentations to the congregation, eventually seeing the construction through to completion.

This addition was so well crafted by the team of Rosenthal and Tucker that many new visitors to the town are not aware that the classroom addition was not an original part of the 100-year-old building.
